Thanks to everyone who came to support the opening of our second Melbourne Metal Collective pop up shop CAVE. Here are some snaps from the launch party… and photos of the next Young Hunting collection Potenza, a collaboration with leather worker Simone Says.

During the L’oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival the Melbourne Metal Collective will be transforming an empty space into a CAVE of wonders.
CAVE will be filled with pieces of jewellery and other curiosities that have inspired designers Young Hunting, Alexandra Blak, Estelle Deve, Hamish Munro, Henson, Maripossa and O.T.T by Lia T.
As well as creating one-off pieces for CAVE the collective is also collaborating with Brisbane photographer Nabil Azadi to create a series of 8 images, each one to represent a different designer.
CAVE will be open 11am - 6pm daily from 11th - 25th of March. Level 6 Curtin House, 252 Swanston Street Melbourne.

With more than 65 independent and avant-garde artists and designers, Young Hunting is excited to be involved in the Melbourne Metal Collective installation at Penthouse Mouse 2012.
Penthouse Mouse is one of the highlights of the L’Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival calendar each year. It’s a pop-up shop slash party slash runway show slash live photo shoot all set in an abandoned warehouse transformed into a space filled with a mix of installation art and fashion.
Make sure you go and check out the Melbourne Metal Collective setup. You can also shop selected Young Hunting pieces at the Penthouse Mouse False Economy Store. It’s open today until Thursday 8th March 12-4pm daily 221 Kerr Street, Fitzroy.

Collection is a diamond amongst the Australian landscape of disposable fashion magazines. Printed luxuriously on high quality stock and packaged in a hard black cover, the magazine is designed to be savoured.
Each page is finely perforated at the spine, encouraging readers to tear, collect and frame each page they adore. Furthermore, each issue follows a different theme which anyone talented enough can be part of. Before each issue, Collection posts a brief for all of their online members to respond to.
